Ali Hariri Movahed
Somewhere between student research and founding. I ran my own business in industry, then came back to academia to study AI and computer science at the source.
I work at the seam where machine learning meets the physical world — physics-informed models that respect the equations they’re trained on, and perception pipelines that hold up under hard real-time constraints. My paper on how simplified simulators can fabricate limits that don’t exist was accepted at the Sim2Science workshop at NeurIPS 2026 in Paris.
Lately I’ve become convinced that autonomous agents — not prompt tools — will do the real work, and that they are the infrastructure for the next wave of AI: AI employees, not AI prompts.
Diary of a Student Founder
The stories, and the tools I use to build and share.
Postmortem
The missteps, told honestly — because the real contribution isn’t the polished result, it’s the process that produced it.
Some of what I build is public. Most of it isn’t — yet.
